Girl Scouts Alum Reunite at Grace Church
Celebrating Memories at Camp Young Reunion

"True friends are never apart, maybe in distance but never by heart." This sentiment rang true for the Girl Scout alum who reunited at the Camp Young gathering on October 29. Now in their eighties, some attendees traveled from out of state to join fellow alums in celebrating the camp that shaped their youth and Norfolk, Virginia's history.

Held at Grace Episcopal Church, where many had attended troop meetings, the reunion was filled with laughter, tears, and heartfelt hugs. Memories of braided pigtails, camp shorts, and two-week adventures in the woods of Camp Young came rushing back. For one memorable afternoon, time stood still, and they were Girl Scouts once more.
